From Stylin' Tea

Royal Tea of Kenya has released a new tea. It is a delicious CTC tea with the quality we have come to expect from the Royal Tea of Kenya line of teas. My good friend Jane tried this tea and gave me the following description: “It has a strong start and a light finish. All in all, fine and clean, flavorful but light, non-lingering, non-jittery!” Because of the light finish Jane does not recommend using milk or strong flavors with this tea. Like all teas from Royal Tea of Kenya, it is pesticide and herbicide free.

One of my favorite teas is Grandpa’s Anytime Tea from Royal Teas of Kenya. This is a cousin to that wonderful CTC, available through Stylin’ Tea. Steeped for 1 minute, this is a light, pleasant tea, with a gentle baked malty flavor and a touch of citrus for a nice finish. It is more refined than Royal Kenya’s other teas that I’ve tried and would suit afternoon tea with a scone or shortbread beautifully. Yum.

Nicole

I’ll have to check out Royal Teas of Kenya. I’m looking for an eventual Crimson Horizon CTC travel tea replacement… These sound good.

Nicole, I’m a HUGE crimson horizon fan too! So far these haven’t been as “complex” as CH (missing the asparagus top note) but I have a few more to try that I’ll post reviews of. Stylin’ Teas has some interesting CTCs from other countries (like Tanzania and Malawi) that I haven’t tried yet…. but hopefully will soon!
