From Silk Road

Tea of Rejuvenation

A smooth, uplifting, green-tea like aroma & flavour,

Ingredients: steamed & rolled Korean mulberry leaves.

Traditionally a folk medicine in Korea, India, Japan and China, recent research on mulberry leaf indicate it may have powerful beneficial properties. It appears to reduce the body’s absorption of sugars and other carbohydrates, and stabilize blood sugar levels. For these reasons, it may be beneficial as a daily drink for preventing diabetes, and helpful for diabetics, or those affected by post-meal blood sugar level spikes, sugar cravings or have difficulties with weight loss. Mulberry may also combat arterial plaque build up and inhibit bad cholesterol.

This nutrient dense, antioxidant rich plant was primarily cultivated as a source of food for silkworms, but has also been enjoyed as a delicious, healthful tea for thousands of years. The mulberry plant symbolises wisdom and renewal.

Our Mulberry leaf tea is made with fresh leaves that are specially steamed and dried, using the same methods as for premium quality green teas. This seals in added nutrients and creates a more delicious tasting tea!

Please note if you have any medical conditions, seek the advice of a qualified medical professional before consuming.

I’ve been remiss with my reviews – too busy at work and after… Yikes. Grown up like, what’s up with that? :O

Anyway, I finally got a chance to try this sample from CrowKettle and it’s nice! It does taste a little sea-weedy though – is there green tea in this too? Or is it just Mulberry leaf?

It’s mostly seaweed, but I am happily in the mood for seaweed tea.

Crowkettle

I haven’t tried this one myself, but the shopkeeper said it had a sea-weedy, green tea taste too. It’s a different from what you’d expect from the berries, eh?
