A lightly oxidized Oolong, Snow Pear is from the An Xi Region of Fujian Province. Hand-rolled leaves are a light shade of green and offer a subtle fragrant aroma as the name suggests. The taste is light and brief yet distinct leaving a thin sweet fruit aftertaste. Rinse this Oolong, then steep it for 2-3 minutes in water of 195-200 degrees.

As the tea cools, hints of pear become more pronounced.

This is a nice greener oolong and complements other more oxidized and roasted types of teas. I like drinking this one along side a sweet Sun Moon Lake black. Sometimes nice going back and forth between the two, fully absorbing the complexity and contrast of the different class of teas. Nonetheless, this tea can be certainly drank by itself with great pleasure.
