Grown in the mountains in Fujian Province, offers a striking, deep green leaf color. Its leaves are a mix of shapes and sizes with occasional silver markings. It will steep to rich yellow-green cup color and offer light fruity notes. Excellent as an everyday tea, good price value. Steep 2 to 3 minutes in water temperature of 175–185 degrees.

This is as innocuous and inoffensive a green tea as you can find anywhere. It’s not too spinachy, not too grassy…and…well…not too anything. Although it does have a pleasantly grape-like taste on the forefront and only a slight vegetal/creamy finish. Not much to be said about it. It’s about as metaphorically vanilla as some pop stars out there. I find it a rather catchy tea tune.

A pleasant green that has a mild vegetal notes with a clean finish. I’m glad I picked it up (I bought mine from Infusions of Tea), but I might aim for a tea with a bit more character. I would echo the sentiment that it seems a bit “standard” — in a blind taste test, I would have trouble distinguishing it from, say, a weakly-brewed, inexpensive Sencha.
