From Rutland Tea Co

East Frisia or Eastern Friesland is a coastal region in the northwest of the German state of Lower Saxony. Surprisingly, for a coffee drinking country, East Frisia, more than 300 years ago chose tea and so, the land became famous for its tea culture. East Frisians consume 2.5 kg of tea per person per year and sometimes the whole process of brewing tea it is rather a sacred ritual than just making an ordinary cup of tea.

For our customers we decided to choose one of the best varieties of East Frisian blends, a stunning Golden Tipped East Frisian Leaf Blend. It is made from a top quality Assam and Java teas with a proportion of fine golden tips and this composition makes the East Frisian tea blend an absolute unique taste experience.

For us this is an absolutely perfect early morning tea! The liquor has full-bodied, finely spicy and highly aromatic flavour with rich dark amber colour.

Brewing method: brew 1 teaspoon of tea per cup in freshly boiled water at 100C/203F for 3-4 min.

Preferably serve in a traditional East Frisian way. Alternatively you can also serve with a little full fat milk or one rounded teaspoon of thick cream.
