Ok, lets see if I can give this a proper review.

I thought since I was home it’d be a good time to have a green and brew it properly with my kettle. I love how it smells – very simply I can smell cherry and grapefruit.

When I sip it I get blasted with the grapefruit, which is followed up by the cherry to sweeten things up, and a touch of rose at the end. I think that’s different than what I said before, but this is what I taste now.

It’s cooled a bit by this point bc the baby distracted me for about half an hour, but it’s still tolerably warm and very tasty. I would say it’s more cherry and rose than grapefruit once it’s cooled.

Hmmmm “blasted with grapefruit” – not sure that’s going to make me happy, but if that goes away as it cools. Need to find time to try these for myself. Glad you are exploring yours.

This is my face saying no. not going to happen. Sample from Cavocorax, which i’m SUPER grateful for, since this is likely one i would have picked up on my own. It smells lovely, but upon brewing it..it’s more medicinal than i can handle. I’ll pass the small bit of this that i have left off to someone else to try, just in case it’s their cup of tea since cavo enjoyed it. but this is not the tea for me :)

TeaLady441

Awww. Too bad it wasn’t for you! I never noticed anything medicinal – was it the cherry? I could see odd cherries equating with cough syrup or something…

Sil

not sure.. just didn’t sit well with my mouth… likely the cough syrup associations

This one is from Cavocorax. I was pretty sure I would hate it, at least as a hot tea. I just don’t like very many flavored green teas, & we all know what it’s like to have a cherry tea that tastes like cough syrup. So I poured the whole sample into a quart jar of water & stuck it in the frig for a cold steep. I drank some a little while ago, with a little stevia, & it’s like Koolaid for grown ups :)
A little tart & tangy, & refreshing!

Sipdown (172/174)!

Even though I’m just drinking this one – this is sort of a sipdown on my Tiramisu Oolong as well. Or, at least, I’m sending the last cup of it to Cavocorax.

A while ago she sent me some samples, including this tea, so now that I can afford to I’m happily returning the favor and sending her some back! Currently I’m sipping on a lovely cold brew of this blend while packing up her tea.

This cold brew is pretty awesome! I set it up yesterday afternoon/last night but forgot about it overnight so it didn’t get strained until around an hour ago – I was worried that sitting that long would have made the cherry too potent and maybe medicinal, but it’s actually still quite delightful and lovely.

There’s a slight grassy undertone, but the strong balance of cherry and grapefruit flavours overcome it in a pleasant enough way.

I’m sad to see this one go; it’s something I would maybe consider reordering for cold brewing. Who knows, perhaps I’ll see more of this in my future?

Just finished packaging it. I’ll send it out either tomorrow or Wednesday. Sorry it took so long to pack up; I added in a few things from your wishlist as well (I would have added Brasiliano, but it’s at work currently) as well as some other samples I thought you’d like or that I have a bunch of :P

TeaLady441

No worries! I"m just happy I’ve got surprise tea coming my way. :D
