From Red Rose

Organic Red Rose Single Estate Blend

Experience the Southern Highlands of Tanzania. Amid a range of volcanic mountains, the Luponde tea estate is located at just over 7,200 feet above sea level. This region of Tanzania experiences both the coldest climate and highest rainfall in all of Tanzania – both of which are optimal for tea cultivation.

The Luponde estate, one of the oldest organic tea estates, is also one of the few tea plantations in East Africa to be Fair-Trade accredited as well as a member of the Ethical Trading Partnership. The Luponde estate, as part of a larger organization, has built schools and provided enhanced health care programs for their employees as well as various services to the local villages

The purity and rich flavor of this handpicked blend comes from the natural balance of air, climate and altitude found in the majestic and mountainous Southern Highlands.

A better tea compared to Red Rose’s original black tea blend, however overpriced and mostly nothing special.
In-Depth:
Aroma
Has a very similar scent to Red Rose’s original blend, a bit darker. Some cinnamon overtones. I enjoy Red Rose for everyday drinking, so I enjoy the familiar, relaxing aroma.
Flavor
Much smoother than Red Rose’s original blend. Definitely a tone of cinnamon. I find it to be a very mild black tea, perhaps even calming, even with the caffeine. Not much to the tea, but it is pleasant.
Notes
I enjoyed this tea, however I think it was a bit overpriced. It is a pretty standard black tea, but with some unique cinnamon-y tones. It would be a good tea to drink on a daily basis if the price matched the quality. I doubt if I will buy again, at this price, but I will enjoy the remaining tea bags. Give it a taste, maybe it will be worth it to you!
