This rich, dark tea is known in France as Thé dé Feté or Festive Tea. Old folklore has sprung up regarding who some of it’s most famous connoisseurs are, including; painter Claude Monet, fashion designer Coco Chanel and actress Audrey Hepburn.
Despite a lack of evidence to support these myths once you’ve tried this tea, it’s not hard to imagine Monet and the Paris impressionists society sitting at Café Guerbois discussing art and politics, cup in hand.
