This is our sixth year offering the Panan Supreme, and we’re excited about this harvest. In spite of colder temperatures that delayed harvest by a week, gradual warming into late March produced yet another phenomenal harvest for 2012.
The tea garden from which we sourced our Panan Supreme is a 2 hour hike off the main road, nestled amongst pine trees at over 1000 meters above sea level. For three generations, the family that worked this land has crafted exceptional Dragonwells by hand, using completely organic farming methods, and following pan-firing techniques handed down from one generation to the next. Each tea leaf was meticulously hand-picked in late March 2012, then just as carefully roasted by hand on wood fired pans.
Panan Supreme’s appellation shows through in every aspect of the tea: brilliant green leaf buds, fresh floral aroma with hints of watermelon and spring grass, clear, perfectly smooth liquor with absolutely no astringency.
