Some of you may disagree with this recipe or the steps used, I personally enjoy a cup of this every morning and have for most of my life.
a 1 to 1 mixture of Orange Pekoe (Brooke Bond Red Label is my personal choice)
Earl Grey (I’ve recently begun to use Earl Grey Green and enjoy it) is brought to a boil with 40% whole milk and 60% water, 4 green cardamoms and 4 cloves per cup are added as well as the desired amount of sugar. Heat is reduced and the tea/spices/milk/sugar continue to cook until it reaches a milky light brown color. Whole spices and loose tea (or bags if you prefer) are filtered out and it is served. I also have a one cup microwave/bag version I use while traveling or convenience which I will post if anyone is interested. I suggest a moderate to high amount of sugar to help bring out the spice flavors. Cheers!
