When I was little, my dad and I would walk through the neighborhood and gather little green apples from our neighbors’ trees. Then we’d sit on the front porch and gorge ourselves on them until we were sick to our stomachs and Mom was yelling at Dad for ruining my appetite for supper. When I saw this tea, I knew I had to try it, if for no other reason than nostalgia.
I’m rather impressed with it, too. The green tea base is delicious and slightly buttery, and the apple is crisp and tart. I can definitely detect a bit of the “Jolly Rancher” sweetness, but the flavor isn’t too candy-like. It’s not as tart as mine and Dad’s little green apples, but it’s not far off.
