This was a fun find from the tea box. The flavor is lightly orangey and mildly spiced. It’s mild, but maybe there’s a hint of almond in there too. I like it! There are plenty of blends like this, so I’m not sure I’d order it, but it was tasty. Pretty typical for a Christmas blend, but well done.

Palais Des Thes Advent Calendar Day 18:
Compared to the other overflowing sachets this one even though it is a herbal/fruit tea has hardly any tea in it. Based on the fruity apple hibiscus spice smell of the dry sachet I don’t think I’m going to like this one… (DT’s Sleigh Ride for example was one that I couldn’t drink)
Once steeped it honestly tastes like something that was not meant for consumption. Reminds me of Potpourri tbh I’m definitely biased though as I just don’t the combination of these ingredients together. The clove comes through along with strong apple and hibiscus flavors. It is sweet probably from the apple and or rosehips? I would not want to drink this again lol This is definitely my least favorite of the advent teas so far.

Palais des Thés Advent Calendar – Day 18 (from November backlog)

Meh, a fruit tisane. There’s a suspiciously small amount in the sachet…

Hmm, yeah there definitely wasn’t enough tea in this sachet. I use a small 8oz teacup for sachets, since they’re usually not much tea for my usual 12oz, but this isn’t even enough for that size. I can taste a bit of sweet spice, maybe clove? There’s apple and orange and a very small amount of hibiscus. There’s also something here adding sweetness, whether it’s blackberry leaf or licorice I can’t say.

Unfortunate that this came out so watered down, but I’m sure I wouldn’t have loved it anyway so it’s no monumental loss. Still, it doesn’t feel fair to give it a rating so I won’t. :)
