From Octavia Tea

Naturally caffeine-free, this luscious blend of organic fruits and botanicals features succulent berries, fruity rose hips, and sweet-tart hibiscus. Deep and juicy with a brilliant, ruby-red liquor, this antioxidant-rich herbal tea almost needs a corkscrew. Serve hot or as a cold-brewed iced tea (mix one tablespoon of tea for every 8 oz of fresh, cold water in a covered pitcher, refrigerate for 6-10 hours, strain, & savor!).

BREWING TIPS: (HOT TEA) Enjoy For the brightest berry notes, steep one full tablespoon of herbal tea in 12 ounces of water for 3.5 minutes.

(COLD-BREWED ICED TEA) This blend is one of our favorite iced teas and is especially delicious when prepared as a cold-brew. To make cold-brewed iced tea, simply mix one tablespoon of tea for every cup of fresh, cold water in a covered pitcher, refrigerate for 6-10 hours, strain, and savor!

Thanks again for the samples, Octavia Tea! I was a little worried about this one. It’s a caffeine-free combination of some ingredients that I thought would be very sour: rosehips, hibiscus, schizandra berries, and strawberry and blueberry flavor. My past experience with schizandra berries has been unbearably sour. But upon steeping, I had nothing to fear. The flavor isn’t very sour at all and is actually quite delicious. The perfect level of tart, fruity, with surprising amount of blueberry flavor. The second steep is a light pink brew and much of the same flavor: lighter than the first steep but delicious. This one would be amazing as an iced tea. It’s very refreshing even while it’s hot. A tasty hibiscus blend, when hibiscus usually isn’t my thing at all.
Steep #1 // 1 1/2 teaspoons for a full mug // 4 minutes after boiling // 3 minute steep
Steep #2 // just boiled // 5 minute steep
