Honeysuckle is a species native to eastern Asia including China (northern and eastern China), Japan, and Korea. Honeysuckle flower is of high medicinal value in traditional Chinese medicine. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, and is used (often in combination with Forsythia suspensa) to dispel heat and remove toxins, including carbuncles, fevers, and ulcers. In Korean, it is called geumeunhwa. The dried leaves are also used in traditional Chinese medicine. The tea should not be consumed by children and pregnant women. Taste: Fragrant, the taste is mild but slightly bitter. Preparation: Use 6-10g tea per 150ml of water. Heat water to 90-95℃ and steep for 1-3 minutes.
