This is a tasty ripe puerh with a lot of fermentation flavor left. Despite this I didn’t notice any fishy taste or such flavors. The tea was fairly bittersweet at the start. The bitterness took a while to go away. I’d say six steeps before the bitterness disappeared. There was a bittersweet aftertaste as well. I did notice some notes of chocolate or cocoa in there as well as a slight fruity taste in the end. This was a medium priced tea, not real cheap, not real expensive. A good quality Dayi bing for sure.

I steeped this eight times in a 120ml gaiwan with 8.4g leaf and boiling water. I gave it a 10 second rinse and a 10 minute rest. I steeped it for 5 sec, 5 sec, 7 sec, 10 sec, 15 sec, 20 sec, 25 sec, and 30 sec. The tea was still fairly dark at eight steeps. It was not played out. I’m sure I would have gotten another four or five steeps out of it with longer times.
