From M&K's Tea Company

A popular tea prepared in the North Africa region, Moroccan Mint is prepared with fresh spearmint leaves and Chinese gunpowder green tea, which is tightly rolled into small pellets. Lemon Verbena is also used to give it a little taste of lemon flavor. We recommend this tea sweetened.

Tea 11/11 of the tea I got from M&K’s etsy shop. I got a green tea sampler pack (10 teas) + they threw in one sample which was also a green tea :). Each of the samples I got were enough for 2-3 “servings” of tea.

I steeped a little under half of the sample for 2.5 min in 12 oz of 175 degree F water. The taste of the tea is mostly mint with a hint of citrus. Very nice and relaxing yet a pick-me-up. I’m not getting any green tea taste but that’s ok. This is a nice drink to have after drinking a bunch of wine the night before ;).

Overall I really do like this tea, but I dunno if I would repurchase simply because I don’t drink mint-green teas that often and when I do I can always mix a cheaper green with some mint tea I always have to make a similar tea. Sorry, Moroccan Mint- you are good though!

Such a solid tea! Love this one. Its such a great combo of mint and green tea with hints of other flavors always surprising me. I’m loving it! Having it cold brewed today to enjoy the beautiful weather we are having. Try this company if you haven’t. They just expanded from their etsy store to their own webstore and have added several new blends. I can’t wait to try them.

Backlog:

I really enjoyed this Moroccan Mint that I received in the Wintertime sampler from M&K’s. It was just different enough to spark my interest – it’s not your typical Moroccan Mint!

This isn’t just peppermint, it’s peppermint and spearmint, and to add a hint of lemon-y flavor, M&K’s added some Lemon Verbena to the mix. It doesn’t add a really strong lemon-y note, but just enough of something that will make your taste buds sit up and take notice and realize that this isn’t the average Moroccan Mint blend.

Really nice. Here’s my full-length review: http://sororiteasisters.com/2015/01/11/moroccan-mint-green-tea-from-mks-tea-company/
