The date is February 1st 2021 and I realize it was 13 months ago I sampled this rather special wuyi oolong and then about 8 months ago during covid19 times that I placed an order. First of all, this is quite expensive. To order an amount that would of gotten me into any sort of ‘discount’ would be purchasing thousands of dollars worth.

This is my first time tasting an aged oolong — it’s very comforting. Like putting on a warm blanket and settling in next to the fireplace. Cocoa nib is the dominant flavor, with a nice rounded malty sweetness and just a bit of tartness/astringency on the finish.
