The Teloijan estate, which is situated in Moranhat in the Dibrugarh district of Assam, came into existence 100 years ago and has been managed by generations of the same family.
Harvested as the autumn flush, between October-November, the leaves are dark, producing a full-bodied, and fruity tea. At this time, the monsoon rains stop, and growth slows down creating a subdued and understated refinement to these teas.
Autumn tea tends to be the favorite of India’s tea tasters who savor the complexities of the flush’s flavor. This flush is rarely seen beyond the borders of India.
