From Kuura

At long last, our go-to workhorse ripe and regular bestseller returns — new(ish) look, same great taste, and still made with 100% real tea!

KUURA-Cola® is our tried and true mainstay ripe puerh tea cake. Affordable, beginner friendly, and almost impossible to brew poorly. It’s a daily driver tea designed for quick release, steady speed, and the long ride home. Now in its 4th edition, this ripe is made from a blend of tea material fermented in 2022 and pressed in 2024.

If you’re new to puerh tea, ripe puerh is the most common kind you’ll come across out in the wild. It brews as an opaque, dark brown liquid in comparison to the more golden, green, and amber-y hues of fresh and aged raw puerhs, For an introduction to our ripes and KUURA-Cola® lore, we recommend you read through product descriptions from earlier editions here.

For those familiar with the style, this edition of Cola® offers a rich, smooth body with a subtle sandalwood fragrance and a hint of sweetness. Throw some in a mug and let it steep for a thick, soothing shou, or brew it gongfu style for 10+ steeps of clean, sweet goodness.

What comes to mind when one reflects on cola? Sticky linoleum flooring at the cinema? Type 2 diabetes? A shou puerh cake? Cola, clearly, is in the eye of the beholder. After its long journey across the Pacific the cake deserves rest and only then will inspire questions. Pretty tasty and not much else to say.

Smooth and easy! The wet leaf aroma on the 4th steeping is just vanilla coke.
