This organic tea contains green tea powder made of new leaf buds, which are packed with a natural umami component called theanine. It has a deep green color and a strong, yet rounded flavor. Many sushi restaurants in Tokyo choose to serve this special tea to their customers. It is good both hot and cold.

Mecha has another advantage: it can be resteeped many times without losing its flavor, while sencha can only be resteeped 2 or 3 times

95-100 Celsius for 30 seconds.
