Sun Kissed Jasmine

I got this sample in my swap with DJBooth. :) The dry smell has an almost alcoholic note to it. Needless to say, it smells interesting! I needed something to celebrate since I just did so well on my test! This seemed to be sweet and citrusy so this will be my cup of celebration.
The dry leaf is very fragrant. The name says jasmine, but I can’t smell any jasmine; which is fine with me b/c I don’t always like jasmine.
The liquor is just as sweet smelling as the leaf was. I’m actually looking forward to this because it is not something I would pick for myself, but smells very nice. Holy cow! This stuff is super super tasty!!! The sip I took has so many different flavors. I can’t exactly tie any of this down, but dang! It has a very light and bright flavor profile.
Even though the end of my brew was done at a higher than usual temperature this tea has no bitterness. Very solid citrus-type flavor. No jasmine to be seen! >:)

This tea has a very light flavor. I LOVE the smell — like a spring garden. I clearly smell the different floral notes. In taste I can find the rose but not the jasmine. In the first steep I could clearly make out the floral notes but the tea flavor was in the background. In the second steep the tea is in the forefront and flavors are less obvious.

Joy’s Teaspoon Sun Kissed Jasmine blend is a little bit like drinking liquid sunshine! The tea is complex combination of green teas (China sencha, Lung Ching, green Yunnan), white teas (Pai Mu Tan), and flavorings (rose buds, rose petals, mallow blossoms) that all together create a blend that packs an explosively floral and tropical punch. I’m usually not a fan of fruity scented teas, but once steeped I found this particular blend to be a smooth and well-balanced. The mild, sweet flavor of the white and green tea provides a great foil to show off the depth in the sweet tropical fruit combination, evocative of sun-drenched pineapple and juicy papaya. This one is definitely getting bought again in the future…
The jasmine isn’t too intense and overall it’s just sweet, floral, and medium bodied.

I received a sample of this from Ellen. The aroma is very enjoyable. I like Jasmine and along with the other ingredients give it a tropical air. Which is nice when It’s cold like it’s been. Before looking it up on the website I wondered if it was a lung ching blend. My experience with chinese greens is not much. It’s light. The Jasmine is subtle. Lung Ching is a little bit light bodied for me to begin with(I like full-bodied blacks, Pu-Erhs, and Oolongs) but this is pretty good.

Many different flavors in this green, the flowers and fruit are front row, the Jasmine is subtle but there. As with all the samples, pure Joy.

It’s tongue dancing flavor changing little green leafs were so great I had to brew up a large pot in the timolino gravity pot. It’s like a real fancy grade jasmine with all this great stuff in it not in the least too flowery, but then again jasmine from fujian is my all time favorite and staple tea. Were I to be brief I would call it intoxicating, see other notes, I’ll get many drinks per day out of this
