From Hou De Asian Art & Fine Teas

2005 Jiang Cheng Factory "Gu Shu Cha Wang" Raw 357g
Limted production of 2500kg by government-operated Jiang Cheng Factory in 2005. This Ancient Tree (Gu Shu) cake uses mao cha from genuine wildly-propagated old tea trees.

The liquor shows a healthy light amber color already, a good aging sign for such a young pu-erh. Liquor is bright and very clear. Aroma pleasantly blends together refreshing floral fragrance, unique fresh-apple or apricot like fruity sweetness and a touch of woodniess. Taste and aroma are both clean, with no smokiness in them. Surprisingly little harshness in taste, good thick and lingering and propagating sensation.

Jiang Chen (River City) is located southeast of Simao, bordering Laos and Vietnam. Due to its lower elevation, warm and humid climate, the tea from this area is typically silky, sweet and mild. The teas from this area are very similar to those from Yiwu and are often used to blend with Yiwu teas.
