I wonder if maybe I got an old tin. It is almost too fake a red hot kind of cinnamon to me, but just barely misses that. It’s definitely very sweet and spicy hot. There is so much of the spice that I honestly can’t get any other flavors from it – I barely taste the tea even when I’m really trying, and there’s nothing orange or citrus about mine in the slightest. I’d be willing to try a sample from Harney – this was a tin I got off Amazon after several acquaintances recommended it, so it might not be fresh. Because of that, I won’t give it a numerical rating – if I were, I would probably give it a 65. My kids like it, they call it red hot tea.

This is the closest approximation to my favorite tea from Alaska. It’s not quiet the same as my Samovar Tea from Kobuk, but it certainly curbs my cravings and makes me smile.

It’s very rich and flavorful. It warms you up like drinking a hot cider and the orange and clove provide a sweet balance to the heat of the cinnamon. No need for added sugar or milk as it is wonderful on its own. Definitely one to maintain in my cupboard.

This tea hooked me on Harney. To be honest, cinnamon is not my favorite spice. It’s okay but not my first choice. But when I saw the cute tin I picked it up and I could smell the tea even though it was sealed! I thought,“Wow! I have to at least give this a try.” So I tried it.

With a dash of Splenda and Appx. 2 teaspoons of cream I was hooked! Very smooth and flavorful. The aroma is inviting and stimulating. Just the thing on a late fall or winters afternoon to relax after work with.

If I was a cinnamon lover my rating would probably be 90.
