So…while i was in Paris, this was one of the teas that i contemplated picking up from the Fauchon store because you could get it outside of a tin purchase. For some reason, i opted not to (i’m guessing it was the other 3.5kg that i’d already bought). So when i returned home and saw that MissB had thoughtfully included some of this in her last package i was SUPER excited. So much so that it was picked to be brewed this morning, even though it’s decaf and i could have had it in the evening. I was just super excited to try it and see if this was a regret.

It is. haha. I won’t cry over not picking more up, but I wish that i had. This is a really nice cocoa/raspberry/caramel tea..and it’s decaf! The bear shaped sprinkles in here don’t even annoy me like most sprinkles do.

Marzipan

Sprinkles!

Sil

they’re more like uh candy bears or something..but they’re fun

Fjellrev

I didn’t think Fauchon would be into doing something like that (sprinkles).

VariaTEA

If I come across fauchon in my travels, I can grab some more for you!

Stephanie

Cocoa raspberry caramel sounds amazing! YAY Fauchon!

Sil

VariaTEA – you guys will have your hands full. It’s enough to know that i’ll enjoy it in future. I have lots of new teas to try thanks to MissB and my purchases. heh

cteresa

3.5 kg of tea? You win ;)

(my suitcase, the last time I was in paris, ah, it smelled fantastic!)

Sil

cteresa- haha i hope you had a great time with ysaurella. I’m really sorry i wasn’t able to join you on the saturday :(

cteresa

It was very nice indeed, I got my first Lupicia teas. I did not make it to Theodor though because of subway malfunction, maybe next time. I confess to one thing, the fact Lupicia sells by the 50 grams and that Ysaurella showed me a shop which sold MF by the 50 grams did contribute to me staying at a lower tea weight! Plus you know, sadly, no Theodor :( Next time…

Sil

lupicia? awe man…i totally missed that :(

MissB

Aha…. see, great minds think alike. Another of their teas has butterfly sprinkles in it, which I’m pretty sure I sent you the entire 50g of that because it’s oolong.

Sil

yes…oolong caramel du buerre sale…

Gr. Lost the tasting note.

With one sip this is pure raspberry chocolate mousse, the next caramel, and the next a roasty, toasty cocoa. I’m confused, yet really liking it . Must try when I don’t have severe hard water issues like I do here in Brussels.

Bought in the Paris Fauchon store, looseleaf, for about half the price of a tin. Woot!

Flavors: Caramel, Cocoa, Raspberry, Roasted, Thick
