2010yr 400g Handmade Braid Handcraft Ancient Tree Puerh Tea Raw Cake

This is a most unusual tea, both in form and in taste. It is a braided puerh, the only one I have ever seen. The leaves are literally braided, I think by hand. It was a tea with almost no bitterness to it. I really didn’t notice any even in the first steep. There was, however an unusual taste to this tea. I would describe it as medicinal camphor taste. This taste was strong for about four steeps then it started to dissipate. Around the third steep I noticed some smoke. There was a nice sweet flavor behind all the camphor. I hope describing it as camphor is accurate. It was like I say somewhat medicinal in taste. I surprised myself by enjoying this tea a lot. I would definitely recommend this tea to anyone who likes this flavor profile. I did not think I did until I drank this tea. It is most unusual.

I steeped this tea eight times in a 120ml gaiwan with 9g leaf and boiling water. I gave it a 10 second rinse and a 10 minute rest. I steeped it for 5 sec, 5 sec, 7 sec, 10 sec, 15 sec, 20 sec, 25 sec, and 30 sec. The leaves were not done at eight steeps but I want to drink something else.
