From Den's Tea

Origin: Shizuoka

This is a new formula of our Mint Iced Green Tea. Two all natural mints, peppermint and spearmint, were cut and blended with Sencha tea leaves. The mint has a relaxing and calming effect and is a great thirst quencher.

Brewing: Place one tea bag in 20 oz of water and let infuse for an hour. Occasionally shake or stir to bring out the flavor.

I really like this one. Of course, I enjoyed the previous two cold-brew iced teas from Dens (so far I’ve tried the pear and the peach, and I still have one left – Mango!) but I really am enjoying how refreshing this mint green tea tastes. There is an exceptionally good balance between the flavor of the green tea and the flavor of the mint blend (peppermint and spearmint). It is sweet and cool and delicious.

Hrmmmm. I really like mint green teas… I may have to try this one.

Batrachoid

My cousin used ALL of the bags in this for one pitcher of tea. I think the menthol nearly burned a hole in my tongue! XD It tasted good, though.

I don’t drink iced tea to often but this summer I have been finding myself preparing or ordering it more when I’m out. I always thought iced tea tasted very different from hot tea and it never really suited me so it seems things are changing with my palette!

This iced tea appealed to me because of the ease of making it. I simply had to place the tea bag in a bottle of water for an hour, take it out and I had iced tea. I put my water bottle with the tea bag in the fridge while I was getting ready this morning to test this out. Right before I left I discarded the bag and my water bottle went with me for the morning events. The tea definitely tastes green. Very green actually. The mint peeks in underneath giving the green taste a little extra something special. I quite like this and am glad to have found a cold brew iced tea for an on the go water bottle!

I got this as a sample from Den’s a few weeks ago, but I’ve been putting off drinking it because I’m not a fan of flavored teas. Or iced teas, for that matter.

Today I had to drive around in hot weather for a couple hours, so I popped this in a water bottle last night to take with me. I like how convenient it is.

It tastes exactly like how it sounds. Minty, and then you get the bitterness of the green tea plus that vegetal aftertaste on the back of your tongue. They work pretty well together, especially for hot weather. I probably wouldn’t buy it again, but I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who likes iced tea, if only because it’s so simple to make.
