I was talking to VariaTEA earlier this week about, well, tea and banana teas were something that came up. It was in the context of trying to find a tea to work with a craving she had and really what just ended up happening was I gave myself a craving for a banana tea. This is one of my favourite banana blends in my stash right now so I immediately steeped up a cup afterwards. Sweet banana runts with just a bit of a buttery biscuit and creaminess to it, with the perfect body from the black tea. Total banana pancake decadence – maple syrup not included.

Got my spring 2022 (and last) sub box today; this was one of 3 new teas in the box. I can’t think offhand of any other banana blacks that DT has done recently, so I was excited to try it! It’s not bad – banana flavour is a bit on the runty side and not as strong as I had expected given the aroma, and it’s sweet (stevia). A bit nutty as well from the almond. Interested to see some other opinions on it.
