Thank you TeaEqualsBliss for this deliciousness!

I’ve had two chocolate strawberry teas in a row – this one won the contest! (Although I still prefer Love Tea #7)
There is a slight sour note from the flavouring, or maybe the base, but that passes quickly and creates a nice dessert tea! Good chocolate flavour and the strawberry is strong, can’t be missed! The scent is just heavenly – I wish it came out in the taste a bit more!

For my second steep, I added a tiny pinch of rose congou – mmm much better! I love a bit of rose in my chocolate/fruit teas. I rounded it out with some vanilla and milk – very tasty!

I have been very impressed with Culinary teas for the most part! I wish the shipping to Canada wasn’t so crazy ; 3;

Autistic Goblin

that’s why I haven’t ordered tea from some places, the shipping is just too much. I think it was $26 or something… I can’t remember.

Daisy Chubb

It’s true! Being in Canada definitely has its perks, but price of shipping isn’t one of them

Autistic Goblin

Butiki Teas was $6 I think and Verdant Tea was free because I hit the $35 mark which is a lot better than most places where it’s $50. The smaller companies have it hard so I don’t mind paying a bit. I always choose free ground shipping whenever possible to save money :D

Autistic Goblin

I’m Canadian too so I feel your pain :D luckily we are getting some things now that we didn’t before. Netflix Canada actually posted some current movies/tv shows so we’re not as far behind as we were :D

Daisy Chubb

Yes! Netflix! I try not to look at what the US Netflix has because I get jealous, but yay for fairly updated movies!

Butiki & Verdant are amazing and can always have my money :D

Autistic Goblin

they put up all 5 seasons of Primeval, first season of BBC’s Sherlock, the first 2 seasons of The Glades and I forget what else. Not enough to cancel cable yet but getting there :D

Autistic Goblin

Butiki Teas I will order from again & again because the tea is great and I like Stacy. Verdant tea people seem really nice I just can’t say most of their teas’ names… I’ll know more when I taste theirs I picked up the phoenix chai, laoshan black, laoshan village chai, and imperial breakfast. I’m going to pull from my vacation fund to cover the tea since I’m not going anywhere this year :D

I got so excited about studying my notes I almost forgot about this tea. This is so true to its flavors without me even adding anything to it. I have enough for another two cups, so I may have to try it sweetened in the future. I imagine it brings out the berry even more.

The strawberry is stronger than the chocolate, and just slightly sweet, which makes me think it could be pushed a little more. It seems like the chocolate also plays into the black tea. Not bad at all.

For some reason, I was completely freaking out before I made this tea. And somehow when I walked back to my bedroom with it, I felt completely okay about just jumping into my notes. I love you, tea.

Thanks for some of this one, Ian, wherever you have gone!

Hope he’s okay.

The aroma is out of this world! Amazing sweet and juicy strawberry and sugary chocolate! Very nice! The taste is darn good, too! It’s a pretty good balance between strawberry and chocolate and I have already had several cups over the last 2 weeks! Thanks to LiberTEAs, that is!

Backlog: I finished a cup of this about an hour or so ago, and I absolutely loved it. My full-length review of it will be publishing in a few hours on SororiTea Sisters.

Sweet strawberry flavor with a tingly, tart aftertaste, and a smooth chocolate overtone. Very, very good.

Backlog from last night….

I don’t think it’s fair for me to rate this. To start off with my mom had a lot of this, and by the time I could get to it it was at the bottom of the cup and it was cold and slightly bitter. I had some of it while it was warm and it was pretty good. To top off the cold bitterness, however, my mother added a full pack of stevia because she likes her teas horribly sweetened and so I couldn’t really detect all the flavors. For now it gets a rating from what I tasted, but when I get a chance to make more, I will definitely re-review the tea.

It sounds good, at least. Can’t go wrong with chocolate covered strawberries, right?

Ian

Haha never! I really would like to like this tea though, I’m always a sucker for a chocolate-fruit tea

Kittenna

Sounds tasty! Waiting for the re-review :)

Bonnie

bleh on the stevia for me…makes so many things go BITTER! I’d rather die of sugar! But then…I use the other packet a bunch that’s yellow…uh…yep…but itz not bittah at all…so there!

I’m at work so this will be a brief one to start.

I am such a pleb. I like bold flavours. I don’t want “a hint of”. If you have a hint of whatever, you might as well not bother.

In the bag this smells so good I want to shove it in my mouth and eat it (what a barbarian, eh?). I might have under leafed, black teas scare me a little. So I’m getting some strawberry and almost no chocolate. I think the aftertaste is really goo though, get more chocolate here. I dumped in a bunch of sugar.

I’ll have to add more leaf next cup. It’s good but the aroma is way stronger than the flavour.

Can’t rate yet.

Ps. Thanks, Dexter3657 for sending this.
P.P.S: I get a feeling a lot of my notes will say thanks Dexter. Sorry if you’re bothered by it! I give credit where it’s due.

Sil

no way! i always try my best to thank folks for their samples :) If i have enough for multiple cups i sometimes only hit them on the first and last one but yeah

This tasted really artificial Like an air freshener! I am going to have to retry this iced or some other way. I added a bit of honey this first time, but it was bitter and strong. I didn’t taste anything resembling chocolate, as the strawberry flavoring was really overpowering. Maybe I brewed it too strong? (I may have oversteeped it) Maybe it needed milk too? Something went wrong obviously! I was really looking forward to this one and am a bit disappointed. Will try again.
