1998 CNNP Fengqing 绿中绿印 Raw 357g
Manufacturer : CNNP Fengqing Tea Factory
Harvest area: Fengqing, Lincang, Yunnan
绿中绿印 can be translated to “Green in green” and it means that both the character of “Cha” and the eight characters of “Zhong” on the wrapper are both green. It’s very rare to see. This cake is a 1998 spring harvest from the Fengqing Tea Factory. Very good storage in Fujian; clean with good humidity. Dry tea leaves have strong aroma; tea soup is thick and smooth; fast huigan. Heavy wild honey and delicate dry apricot flavor in mouth. There is not any taste of humid storage from the first infusion. This tea can be brewed many times. Very comfortable and balanced energy.

I got a sample of this tea with a recent order. It is a very clean mid aged tea. No off flavors. It starts off with a little smoke, but that fades quickly. Then it turns into sort of a bland tobacco flavor, with just a hint of fruit and sweet, and a mild huigan. Seems like a pretty good tea, though I’m not sure how much I like (factory) teas of this age. I don’t have much experience with them.
