From Chado Tea House

Genmaicha is a traditional Japanese favorite. It is tended, harvested, and prepared exactly as it has been for centuries. This exotic Genmaicha consists of Sencha blended with roasted premium Japanese brown rice. The taste is pleasant with a hint of nutty roasted rice and a mild aftertaste.

Genmaicha is perfect with meals, warm conversation or quiet contemplation; especially popular during cold winter time. Genmaicha is sometimes referred to as popcorn tea because a few grains of the rice pop during the roasting process and resemble popcorn. We also offer Matcha iri Genmaicha (add Matcha); adding Matcha to Genmaicha makes the taste little mild, without Matcha powder, taste can be crisp and more traditional. The both of them are almost equally supported among green tea lovers.
