White Peony is made from buds and leaves that remain after the silver needles have been harvested. The liquor is darker and the aroma bolder yet its sweetness clearly identifies the close relationship of the two teas. A very smooth taste. 2 min steep.

Peach Blossom White

First flush spring buds that are hand harvested from Fujian’s unique Fuding Da Hao varietal.Rare, striking in appearance and pleasant tasting, white tea gets its name from the fine silvery white hairs on the unopened buds of the Camellia Sinensis plant. The highest quality white tea, Silver Needle, consists only of these buds and is beautiful to behold. First flush spring buds that are hand harvested from Fujian’s unique Fuding Da Hao varietal.The liquor is a pale yellow with a subtle sweet flavor.

Reputed Health Benefits:
White tea contains the highest level of antioxidants of all varieties of tea. In fact, research reveals that white tea has 10 times more antioxidants than vitamin E and contains high doses of polyphenols which may help lower undesirable fats in the blood. These protected nutrients protect the body from damage by free radicals, which can accelerate aging. Further, white tea is filled with catechins, an antioxidant that has been found to lower cholesterol. White tea has been shown to have a positive effect in fighting cancer-causing cells, and may in fact help protect against certain types of cancer including prostate, stomach or colon cancers. Other healthful benefits from drinking white tea include greater bone density and strength, protection against many bacteria and viruses, even helping lower blood pressure. Osmanthus blossoms are helpful in treating skin ailments. Jasmine blossoms are known for their relaxing affects. Orange oil is an anti inflammatory.

Tasting Notes: It has a pale liquor and a lightly sweet,with peachy highlights. A refreshing cup.

Brewing Instructions: Steep 1 heaping Tbp for 2-3 minutes at 185 degrees.
