From Camellia Sinensis

Harvested from mature bushes with deep roots soaking up the goodness of the Wuyi (Fujian region) mountain’s rich soil, this roasted wulong is made up of large dark, twisted leaves. Appetizing amber infusion with caramel fragrance. Roasted barley, sugar cane, and tobacco flavours unite to give this tea a unique rustic.

Grandpa Style!

This was a free sample included in a past tea order. I brewed it up in a new mug that I am just a little bit obsessed with – it looks like a crazy swamp monster/fish… thing. The tea is equally solid too!! It has a lovely deep roast mixed with notes of tobacco, leather, bourbon, oak and an underlying stewed black cherry note that creeps up over the coarse of brewing! Lasted me the whole afternoon with this brewing method, and was just so tasty!

Here’s a sample from my tea sister Sil, which actually came from Dexter, I think. I haven’t had very many teas from Camellia Sinensis, although I’ve perused their impressive website on more than one occasion. This is a lovely & delicious cup of roasted barley with a buttery caramel creamy mouth-feel that makes it especially appealing to me.

Sil

i’ll be sending more from CS once i get around to drinking those ones :) next box!

Terri HarpLady

LOL, take your time! I’m trying to get down below 300 this month! And I have quite a ways to go, YOU!

Sil

heh it’ll be a few months i think before this box goes out. I need to get through some of my smaller sizes so i can dig in to the new teas from mandala, CS, dragon tea house etc… i’ve got major overflow happening at the moment!

OMGsrsly

Oh good! I’ll also have some that I think Sil doesn’t have that she’ll be able to pass on to you, Terri! I’m waiting until she shows up to give her ALL THE TEAS. ahem

This was a sample from dexter It’s a roasty oolong, and while the brewed aroma is that oolongy taste i’m not a huge fan of, this is a really nice brewed cup of tea. it’s not overly bold, but it’s not a wimpy oolong either…sort of middle of the road with a bread like sort of taste to it. I’d be inclined to pick this one up again if i needed a ump to get me to free shipping threshold or something with an order but it wouldn’t be a permanent restock. thanks for sharing dexter!

Sil

also resteeps nicely!

Another sample from the lovely Dexter3657
what a nice medium bodied roasted Oolong with cereal and bread notes.
I am enjoying it with pancakes and Maple syrup before leaving to go to my niece’s birthday.
Not especially happy to have to take the train again for more than an hour and during the week end but this is a special occasion and I’m glad to celebrate her 17 years the right day.

Your niece has a thoughtful and loving aunt:-) With all the train commuting you do in a week, I understand why this is the last place where you want to be during week ends!
