I figured if beer tastes better when it’s on draft, the same has to apply to kombucha!
I figured I’d like this one better than fire, which is gingery. This is verrrrry minty. I’m not a fan of echinacea because it makes my stomach hurt, but that’s not going to really stop me. Beyond mint, it just has an herbal taste. On their website they say there’s pineapple too but I can’t taste it. Oh well.
I prefer the Water flavor but that is not available on draft at my Whole Foods :(
This isn’t bad though. I just think the pricing is weird. 16 oz is $5, but 24 oz is $6 (and that’s probably WF and not Buchi’s deal). And it is like, extra fizzy compared to those in the bottle. I couldn’t stop drinking it in the car because it was reminding me of my favorite kinds of beer, but sweeter and I can drink this and drive. Obviously.
I didn’t realize that WF has Kombucha on tap! Was it only this flavor/style?
I’m really surprised it’s at my store because it’s like the saddest one of them all, but it’s two from this company as they are regional at the cafe.
they don’t have it in st louis
We are on tap in around 20 Whole Foods and Earth Fares in the South East including in Atlanta, Chapel Hill, Knoxville, Asheville, Greenville and more. You can even buy Buchi by the growler (64oz) which is great for a families and party alternatives and ends up saving a lot of money. Thanks for the review! Buchi Air, like the rest of our elemental line, is designed to be a pretty strong flavor you will either love or not. You’re right about it being minty, we actually just reformulated Air to have a bit less mint and more pineapple, so give it another try in a few weeks once we sell through what’s already on the shelves. Fire is still our most popular though with the freshly juiced ginger and cayenne, you should definitely try it (unless you dislike ginger). And you’re right, pricing is a Whole Foods decision. :)
Thanks for helping spread the word about our brand! For more information about our small family owned brewery, check out: http://www.drinkbuchi.com
I’ll be on the lookout for it! I’m not too much of a ginger fan but if it’s the most popular flavor, I may have to give it a try anyway.
