This is a large leaf black tea that has strong body, outstanding briskness and thick malty aroma. A medium quality Orthodox manufacture, this leafstyle has traditionally been enjoyed most by high-end ethnic markets of the Middle East and Iran. This tea offers a strong body that can be enjoyed straight up or with a dash of milk, smooth creamy textured liquor, and a pronounced malty bite at the end of each sip.
Satrupa Tea Estate is in Upper Assam, at the eastern-most part of the Assam region. This area has rich red loom soil, year-round tropical wet climate, and old-growth forest all around. Satrupa is on the periphery of the last contiguous rainforest tracts in the Eastern Himalayas.
