Milk Oolong is a relatively new cultivar in the delicious world of Taiwanese teas and is prized for its inherent cream and butter notes. I was thankful to have something soft and silky to begin my work week with because, after the very busy feeling of last week, I wasn’t looking to set the tone of the day in the same brash way as I had the Monday prior. I got hints of coconut alongside a creamy floral flavour.
Really, my only criticism today is also simultaneously a compliment. I picked this out because a part of me thought what I wanted in the moment was more of that fake-y tasting butter/condensed milk flavour some flavoured/scented milk oolongs have. I didn’t get that today though, but I think what I did get was nicer.
