From Adagio Custom Blends

We all know what Edward craves. Bella is his need, his obsession, his one desire. Edward’s unquenchable thirst for Bella is embodied in this tea… dark mambo and chocolate for his intensely black eyes of thirst… strawberry and almond for the unbearably sweet essense of her scent… his own personal brand of heroin.

Created by: Sarah Almon

Ingredients: black tea, yunnan jig tea, wuyi ensemble tea, rose petals, natural strawberry flavor, natural chocolate flavor, dark chocolate chips, cocoa nibs, natural almond flavor & strawberries

Steeping Instructions: Steep at 212° for 3 minutes.

Another sample from the TTB on Teachat. This is a very flavorful, sweet blend. I think this is the perfect afternoon black tea. Not too powerful, just smooth and wonderful.

This is actually quite good. It has a dark, somewhat heavy taste but that works for it. I can’t really pick out the almond or the valentines which is fine by me because that means that it isn’t overwhelming. Valentines tends to hit me as too bitter so any tea with too much of it just comes across as a bit too rough for me. Anyway, this ends up being a fairly stout tea with smooth edges that I think would hit the spot on mornings that I can’t deal with something sweet but don’t want something harsh either. Pretty rich and feels very full-flavored in my mouth.

I’m so glad you reviewed this one; I’ve been waiting to hear about the various Twilight-related teas on Adagio!

I’ve tried 3 other of the Twilight blends that Sarah has made and haven’t really been a fan. But she tends to go for fruitier teas than I do and she goes for things that are best iced (though it was in the summer the last time I really talked to her so that could have been a summer thing for her, not sure). But this one I do like though. It reminded me a bit of the Hades blend, which I enjoyed, but without the cinnamon. Probably because both have Mambo in them…?

Sorry, I still refuse to try anything associated with that miserable excuse for literature.

Hahah! I accidentally ended up at a B&N during the release party for #4. SO disturbing. I can’t even begin to tell you. I had no idea what I had stumbled into since I hadn’t heard of the books… there were just lots and lots of teenage girls wandering around in prom dresses. And one really interesting guy (he wasn’t in a prom dress though). I did end up reading the books months and months after that when my SIL gave me the first one. But I will forever be disturbed by the memory of the crowd at that release party.

Valentines tea seems to be a very popular addition to signature blends… most of the ones I’ve tried had it in there.

This was sweet, and it didn’t need any sugar, which is great since I generally use sugar with black teas. It wasn’t bitter, and not one blend overpowered the other. Very good tea indeed! I may even purchase a can of it!! :)

This is the perfect tea for this cold, snowed in day!

Do you happen to have the Teachat signature box pass? I’m seeing a lot of ones I’ve tried from that pop up in your notes lately and it makes me smile. :) <— See?

ChariTea

I definitely have the Teachat SB box, and I’m totally enjoying it. I’m just waiting for the next person to respond to me. It makes me smile too :)

Not bad…it is a bit complex and the flavors try to compete to see who’s on top but still not bad.
