From Adagio Custom Blends, Rachana Carter

I have included peppermint in this to create a refreshingly cool feeling in your mouth, Irish Breakfast for a robust base. Lastly, lemon grass for a citrus twist. It is mostly Irish Breakfast with equal parts peppermint and lemon grass. Enjoy this fun blend this St. Patrick’s Day. Best enjoyed on the rocks. Drink Responsibly! As seen on Adagio TeaV Episode #60 – St. Patrick’s Day Contest Finalist!

Rummy. Irishy. Minty. Malty. Black and Green and Herbally. Thanks Rachel for sharing this with me,

Many of you know I LOVE my MINT! this is nice! BUT…there is MORE to it than just ‘mint’. That is nice too!

I am thinking several things with this…like…can I add something alcoholic to it!? Should I get crazy and add chocolate milk or chocolate soy milk? Should I do a tea float!? Add it to ice cream!?

HAHAHAHA!!!!!

What the heck am I thinking! This is great by itself but it makes me think all sorts of oddball thoughts too!

Maybe I should switch to oolongs and herbals and decaf for the rest of the day…oh…and whites…I need a white tea! Not totally departing from the caffeine but just no more black!?

But-but-but!!!!! I don’t wanna!!!!!!! Whaaaaa!
WOW…that little outburst was random.

Honestly, tho, this is good stuff!!!! Great job – Rachel!

I love the smooth flavor of the rum, the tartness from the lime, and the sweet, crisp taste of the peppermint. Absolute Deliciousness!

Thanks to RachanaC I get to enjoy a few cups of this.

This is a great morning cuppa. It’s minty herbs, bold black tea, a hint of a sweet rum and almost cake-y goodness. Very nice hot cup to enjoy this morning. Happy to have enough to try the next cup iced, as I can see this being quite the refreshing drink. Thanks for all the fun samples Rachana!

My best friend has a theory that anything with “Irish” as a descriptor is automatically better. Irish whiskey, Irish stew, Irish boys…sounds like this tea is the same!! But there’s no way I’ll ever mention this Irish rum to her, because finding out it’s tea would make her so disappointed.

Ah, rum! I was seriously considering a pot of David’s Buttered Rum, and then remembered that the lovely Rachel had sent me some of this to try!

This is great!! I can taste everything: the rum, the lime, the mint, the green and black teas. I would never have thought to mix lime and peppermint together, but they’re really great together! I’ll definitely have to get some of this from Adagio when my cupboard’s under better control (or I simply can’t stand to not have it on hand, whichever comes first).

Rachel, thanks so much for sending me some of this to try. Love it!!

Thanks for this tea Rachel!!!

I needed something this afternoon to wake me up a little bit in the midst of a lot of laundry. I thought this combination of flavors sounded invigorating! And I was right! It really woke me up and had a great combination of flavors!! I thought all the flavors were there in the right amount too, no flavor was overpowering. It was a very unique and awesome cup of tea!

I enjoyed this tea very much. More than I expected to. I really got the “green” feeling that I was hoping for in this tea. The peppermint and lime mix very well together, enough to say it has created a new flavor on it’s own. The rum however is more in the background which is interesting since it that the highest percentage in the tea. I also enjoyed this tea better with sweetener versus none. I would give this one a try.
