This is one that has been hiding in my cupboard for a while! The leaves are those super cute fuzzy curls laced with pink flowers. There is something grainy like sugar at the bottom of this bag that didn’t make it into my steeper. Maybe it was the spice because I’m not getting any spice in this cup. It was a little bland when hot, but after walking away from it for an hour to help a friend over the phone try to figure out how to post on instagram, I’m getting a bit more flavor out of my cooled cup. The peach is really light on the sip and is accompanied with a slight dill taste. That fades in the finish where floral honey lingers.

This tea amuses me, but I don’t know that I like it. I think I’d enjoy it more if the non existent salsa part were replaced with something else. Could be that the salsa part was way more exciting when this tea was new. :/

I know this is loved by Roswell Strange but I apparently have not tried it yet. I like when AQ2T uses this base tea though so when I grabbed it and saw the base and the giant peach slice, I was intrigued.

This package claims this tea is hot and perhaps it is because of the age but I get no heat and no honey. The lack of honey is more surprising given AQ2T has a particular honey flavor that pops up in a lot of teas whether it is supposed to be there or not. However, this is peach and base through and through. The base is bready which combines nicely with the peach. It’s enjoyable but not earth shattering. Perhaps I waited too long to try it and its lost some of its pizzazz. The dangers of a giant stash. I feel like I need to learn how to balance drinking down old teas while making sure I try new ones when they are still fresh.

A few days ago I ordered in pizza for myself with pineapple, jalapenos, and hot honey on it. It was delicious, though spicy, and it made me think of this tea which has a pretty similar flavour make up – just with different fruits and spicy sources. My cup was very honey forward with very light hints of heat alongside some peach and a woodier malty and brothy black tea base. It’s not aged incredibly well but it’s also not aged super poorly so it was very nice revisiting!

We’re totally on the same page with pizza, except I would also got with smoky bacon or something along those lines.

Roswell Strange

I don’t eat meat, but often I’ll do a really.dmoky Lapsang with a pineapple pizza instead. I feel like that’s kinda the same idea.

Hmm, yes it is. That actually sounds very good too.

This tea was in many ways similar to one of my faves from A Quarter to Tea, Peach Crostata. Therefore, I enjoyed it – but not as much as PC. In this last cup I had, I didn’t catch the heat nor the honey, in particular, but I also drank the tea cold while thirsty and trying to calm a fussy baby. So probably wasn’t paying 100% attention. Either way, it was good and definitely reminiscent of PC; I’d be unlikely to choose it over my fave, though, which has some additional delicious flavours.
