Raspberry Almond Coffee

Sil didn’t get almond coffee from this but I’m getting a whole lot of almond. It’s bordering on marzipan but I made this as a latte and I think that helps level out the flavouring. In addition to the marzipan, there is sweet raspberry candy flavor as well, like Swedish berries. Every so often, I maybe get wisps of coffee, or I just think they should be there so I’m imagining them. All in all, it’s a pretty nice latte and could be tasty as an iced latte as well.

I’m still trying to figure out how o brew teas to my liking in my new location, so take this one with a grain of salt.

When it was fresh and hot, this one had a bit more of a raspberry candy flavor, with some of the tea itself at the end. Then I got distracted with homework and let it cool, too much. I could taste a bit of tartness from the raspberry and that was about it.

This has a very floral taste going on with the raspberry. I’m getting some deeper notes from the coffee and some almond flavoring that is borderlining on the edge of too much where things go bitter. The tea base is really light and it’s interesting having those heavier flavors on top of it. I like the combo of these flavors. I’m intrigued by this tea, but I have a feeling that with a little age and settling of the flavors this tea will become much more enjoyable.

This one is much better as a hot tea, in my opinion.

It’s still definitely got that sort of ‘raspberry tootsie roll pop’ candy kind of taste to it; very sweet, artificial but pleasant raspberry notes and the taste of whatever the heck tootsie rolls are supposed to taste like? I think chocolate. This actually has no chocolate in it at all; but it just much be the combo of both the almond/coffee that makes me think tootsie roll. Even though it tastes artificial/candy like to me, it’s less chemical-y than the last cup and feels a little more balanced/mellow. That iced tea was just somewhat overwhelming…

A coworker of mine has really taken an interest in AQ2T; whenever I bring a blend in to work she gets REALLY excited/needs to try it. So far she’s made at least two orders with AQ2T that I know of because she’s fallen hard for a couple blends. The first was Mexican Hot Chocolate, and now this one. Her last order she got five bags of it! So, this is definitely speaking to at least someone.

I think, personally, it just falls in the camp of slightly better than neutral.

I like this better warm than cooled off. The raspberry became a little more artificial as it cooled. What i’m not getting from this AT ALL is “almond coffee” oh well…you can’t win them all.
