From 52teas

This blend starts with a finely chopped CTC tea grown on the Iyerpadi estate in India. I selected this tea because it’s rich & flavorful with a smoothness that would work well for the blend inspired by one of my all-time favorite beverages. To this tea, I added broken Star Anise pieces, cloves, vanilla bean & coconut. The coconut is not added for a significant amount of flavor to the cup, but instead to lighten the blend as well as encourage some creaminess to the cup.

Fresh outta my July subscription box! I’m hoping this tea will wake me up on a sleepy Tuesday afternoon. (Why am I sleepy? I have no idea, but it’s 2 p.m. and I can barely keep my eyes open. Maybe because I’ve been staring at an Excel spreadsheet all morning. I’m a writer, not a data scientist!)

Anyway, this tea reminds me of Coconut Eggnog — the tea that introduced me to 52Teas! It’s got a nice, rich base and notes of clove and star anise, with just a hint of coconut to provide a creaminess. I’m drinking it hot and enjoying it quite a bit, but I’ll have to try the brew ‘n’ cool method to make a true iced tea.

Well… back to the ol’ spreadsheet.

Sometimes I get that afternoon slump too at about 2-3 PM. -.-zzZZ

I was tired once at work too after staring at an Excel spreadsheet all day. I went home and fall asleep!

The afternoon slump indeed! Plus the Excel slump. A deadly combination.
