This is another keeper from Lochan Tea Limited. It smells & tastes a bit more green than Upton’s No.1 Tippy Orthodox GFOP Darjeeling (which I’ve been drinking the past few months), but has a sweet finish. This may be blasphemy, but I really like it with milk & Stevia. I will definitely keep this one in my cupboard at all times. I highly recommend Lochan Teas. It’s the only tea leaves I love to inhale when I first open a bag. Like I used to do with good coffee grounds. :)

Mmm … malty good and so rich! I love a malty Assam (made with milk & Stevia) and I was really pleased with this one. I must never, never, never run out!! EVER!!! :))

I’m drinking this now and I’m disappointed. The Super Grade was so flavorful I thought this Superior Organic (BA20) would be heaven in a cup. It’s not. In fact, I think my old store brand Red Rooibos tea bags had more flavor than this. This will go in the trash with the tea bags. I’ll stick with the Super Grade (BA14).

My former Red Rooibos was a store brand tea bag. I always drink this when I’m not feeling well. It never fails to make me feel better. I knew the loose leaf would taste better, but I never expected it to be as flavorful as it is. I’m in love with this tisane! The tea bags are going in the garbage. ;)

A few weeks ago I read “The Ultimate Tea Diet” and I began drinking more tea. I’ve always used tea bags from the local supermarket, so trying loose leaf teas for the first time was quite an experience. I don’t think I can go back to tea bags.

Loose leaf is so much more economical because I can get 3-4 cups from the same leaves. The only green tea I like is Jasmine, but that’s the same when I used tea bags. Loose leaf green tea didn’t change my mind on that, but the search continues. I have fallen in love with Darjeeling and Assam. A first for me. I usually got Oolong tea bags.

I have to say I’m having the time of my life learning about the different loose leaf teas. :)

I’ve been ordering from Upton Tea Imports because of their sample sizes. I don’t want to buy a larger amount until I know I like it.

8/5/2011: I’ve recently placed orders with KTeas and look forward to buying teas from other companies. I’ll probably get most of my tea from upton because I can order a sample and try it before buying a bag or tin. I like that a lot. Upton also has an order form you can print out. Very cool! :))
