I have been attending events at Sweet Remembrances Tea Room since it opened 20+ years ago. From my surprise birthday party, to SereniTea on Wednesday, to the Queen’s Tea ,to Super Scone Sunday with my mother every event has been unique and enjoyable. The the tea room is beautifully restored and retains a lot of the character of the original building. Strolling in the gardens and visiting the Rosemary House next door are always on my agenda for after the events.

I have never tasted scones as good as Nancy’s in any other tea room. The food presentation is always beautiful. Where else can you have your food decorated with edible flowers or fresh sprigs of herbs straight from the garden behind the tea room?

Themed events often include a guest speaker or someone in costume. Perhaps a survivor of the Titanic,a Civil War nurse or the “servants” from Downton Abbey. I am looking forward to the Christmas Tea with Queen Victoria in December.

Most of the teas are by reservation only. The information is on their blog. http://www.rosemaryevents.blogspot.com. You can buy loose tea next door a The Rosemary House. They carry Harney & Sons. My favorite!
