2 Tasting Notes
I am by no means an experience Darjeeling connoisseur. My first impressions of this tea was its particularly grassy notes and mineral flavors. I only later realized how bitter, almost bittersweet, it was. Behind the bitterness was a pleasant creamy flavor.
I expected it to be more of a black tea, but I do think I brewed the tea slightly too strong.
Flavors: Bitter, Cream, Grass, Mineral
I found this tea to be unexpectedly sweet, with flavors contrary to what you might normally have in a winter themed tea (e.g. no Chai). Personally, I didn’t find the spices overpowering. Each spice complimented the other well. If anything, the tea is a little too sweet. Reminds me of a potpourri.
I would not recommend adding milk product to this tea; The spice blend is enough by itself.
