Not really sure how I feel about this tea. Flavour-wise it’s decent enough. It has a certain acidic smokiness to it that reminds me of gunpowder green actually. That being said, I find the price a bit steep considering you can get a massive tin of gunpowder green tea for the same price, with the same results. A nice everyday green tea, but I’ll stick with a cheap tin of gunpowder any day.

A very light and floral oolong which had a subtle aroma to it. A little too light for my tastes but still a nice cup of tea. I was brewing it in a gaiwan using short infusions. I think more leaves may have been required to get the most out of this particular tea, that or a smaller vessel.

A decent loose leaf shu pu erh. Dry leaves have a slight citrus smell to them prior to being infused.

Nice earthy flavour with a rich red liquor. Doesn’t brew as dark as other shou pu erhs out there.

This is basically my every day tea. I actually have an yixing pot seasoned for Dong fang mei ren and this is the particular tea I use most. Makes a really nice, full cup. The first couple infusions have a slightly barky, nutty flavour. Later infusions produce a sweet honey/melon flavour.

I’ve gotten my best results with this tea in my yixing pot using short infusions with a moderate amount of leaves. Because of the robust flavour , a little leaf can go a long way with this particular tea.

Tightly rolled gunpowder green tea. Has a robust smoky flavour and a slightly metallic edge to it on the first infusion.

Great, cheap everyday green tea. Don’t use too much leaf though, as the first couple infusions can be quite strong and can get bitter if the water temp is too hot, or you steep it for too long.

Great for quick infusions in a gaiwan or small tea pot.

This is a decent tie guan yin, for the price. I typically steep it for multiple infusions for short periods. Brews really nicely in a gaiwan or a small tea pot.
