61 Tasting Notes
I drank this alone as well as blended with Teavana’s Jasmine Dragon Pearls. As a blend, the jasmine is an amazing complement to the citrus notes, and the steam has a wonderful perfume. Alone, this tea has a very pale liquor and the slight bitterness of orange dominates. The flavor is a mixture of sea buckthorn and citrus primarily with a very slight floral (rather than herbaceous) lavender scent. I don’t detect any sage at all. The major downside of this tea is that it takes a generous amount to get the right potency, and it doesn’t do well with additional infusions. Not great bang for your buck – probably best to buy a small amount to blend.
