I didn’t think I would like this at all, but when I tired it I absolutely loved it. This tea has a beautiful smooth texture so it’s like nectar to swallow, and then you have the scent and taste of chocolate in a very subtle way so you feel like you’ve had a real treat. Definitely going on my like list.

Flavors: Caramel, Chocolate

I’m not normally a lover of green tea, but this one is superb. Immensley thirst quenching, it is satisfying and leaves you feeling fresh and replenished. Lovely!

Last night whilst working a night shift at one of the NHS’s general hospitals I had the misfortune to be offered a cup of this instant freeze dried granule type tea. This is what they serve up to their patients. It is truly appalling in flavour, having a bitter aftertaste, toxic looking in colour, with the aroma of mouldy mushrooms. It is made worse by the fact that the water they use to make the tea is well below boiling point, for health and safety reasons, so what you are served up with is a tepid, bitter liquid notable only for its uselessness. Under no circumstances accept a cup of this tea. If you are planning a stay at an NHS hospital, take you own tea supply, otherwise you may come out feeling more nauseated than when you went in.

Thanks for the warning!

Thank you for this warning… If I am ever unfortunate to be in hospital I will drink coffee instead – I presume they have express machines in NHS hospitals?

Fabulously fragrant while you wait for it to steep, and equally wonderful on the palate when sipped. Not to be missed, light and refreshing and totally uplifting.

wonderful stuff…….good with a dash of soya

Robert Heaven

is Rooibos actually classed as a “tea”?

Rachael Kelly

Definitely…..Ringtons stock it so it must be

Robert Heaven

Ringtons also sell egg cups…

Rachael Kelly

Well if Ringtons sell egg cups then they must be fabulous ones, and the same for their Rooibos tea. They would not sell anything that is not top of the range.

Robert Heaven

But is Rooibos really a tea? Black tea and I think green teas also, are of the Camellia sinensis family. Rooibos is a broom like member or the Legume family..

Rachael Kelly

Tsk! Is the Pope a Catholic? I think you will find that any beverage
made from any part of a plant may be referred to as a ‘tea’, see definitions 1) and 3) below from the OED. I trust this allays your fears and answers your question.
Oxford English Dictionary:
Tea • noun 1) a hot drink made by infusing the dried, crushed leaves of the tea plant in boiling water. 2) the dried leaves of an evergreen shrub or small tree native to south and east Asia, used to make tea. 3) a drink made from the leaves, fruits, or flowers of other plants. 4) chiefly Brit. a light afternoon meal consisting of sandwiches, cakes, etc., with tea to drink. 5) Brit. a cooked evening meal.
