24 Tasting Notes
I finally tried this one this fall. I think it is a great tea! Pumpkin is normally something hard for me to pick out because I don’t think it has much flavour.
This tea however does have lots of flavour. I wouldn’t go as far as calling it a chai in my books. It needs some more spice for that but then it would mute the fresh and subtle pumpkin taste that bleeds through.
Preparation
Wow. Thankfully I snagged two of these pouches. This is my new afternoon and go-to non caffienated tea. This tea is great. Almost perfect minus a slight off taste from either the honey bush or the extracts.
Tastes very chocolatey. Much like I would have expected double chocolate decadence to taste.
Please bring this one back Frank!!!
Preparation
Haha it is that good! I did get lucky grabbing those two but I am not one to hoard a good thing. I would be happy to share some with you if you would like. We could even do a tea swap if you prefer. I also have a feeling I will be making a special order of it soon too. :)
I think it no longer exists! If you still have some left sometime in the future, I’d love to do a swap to get another couple cups’ worth, but for the foreseeable future, I’m just too busy :( It took me way too long to send my last three packages out, and I felt terrible about it.
I am just over halfway through my bag of this tea. Definitely a winner for me. I really enjoy a cup in the afternoon paired with a savoury snack. This tea doesn’t play well when I have other sweet treats or need something more robust in the morning. I lose the flavour in those scenarios.
On to the flavour. I think the apricot and the white tea mixes so well together. The cheesecake flavour is very light but it still rears its head during the cup. When it does, it makes me all the more happy.
Preparation
I really enjoy this one. I have been drinking it everyday since last week. I just wanted to make sure I really loved it before posting my comments.
This is really rich and I love to have it after lunch. The cinnamon gives it a sweet kick and mixes well with the chocolate. It is just short of drinking a good spiced hot chocolate. Milk would probably make it a full blown rich treat that would make me feel guilty. Not that I don’t already feel guilty by drinking this awesome blend.
The blend is SO dusty because of the cinnamon and cocoa powder that it always leaves my David’s perfect teaspoon covered in a reddish brown.
I had originally gotten 25 grams but will be getting a full 100g tin (probably more) very soon! :)
Preparation
This tea blows me away. I have only tried it once during the iced tea promotion but I really had to think after every sip. I thought about what was it I was drinking. It was so complex where I could taste the coconut, red pepper, cloves and more with no issues. It almost felt like I was drinking soup or could cook with it to make the most awesome thai curry chicken dish with.
I did have some trouble finishing the whole cup though. It was just so interestingly flavourful and complex that I couldn’t come to terms that I was having it as an iced drink.
I do want to go back to try some more (possibly for cooking) but will be cautious and start with a sample size.
Preparation
So I made a second cup later in the day and steeped for longer. The tea didn’t get bitter like I thought. A little more sweetness came out but the black tea came out a lot more too. The flavours were harder to discern this time too. I will stick to the shorter steep time from my first note.
Still really like this tea though. :)
