I originally visited this lovely shop years ago, after reading McCormick’s “A Decent Cup Of Tea”. He listed it as one of the best places to find premium looseleaf tea in New York City. I was not disappointed, as I entered the charming shop, and felt as though I stepped back through the decades. Burlap sacks with coffee beans sprawled around the interior, and a mix of teas and coffees in tins, jars, you name it! It smells divine inside, and they even carry my favorite chicory coffee! Lots of different teas to see and try, it’s a mandatory stop for any tea lover!

The environment was welcoming, but they definitely specialize in coffee more so than tea. I purchased an Apricot flavored black that was very very good, I might go back, but probably if I was looking to purchase coffee as a gift rather than to get more tea.
