I hosted a birthday/graduation party there this weekend. Despite booking two months in advance, I had to change the time I had scheduled my party because they overbooked, and then had to wait while the previous party took their time clearing the room. Regardless, the food was delicious and the service by the waitstaff was beyond excellent!

Coco’s has a separate party room from their main dining room, and they will arrange the way the tables are set up at the customer’s request in advance. Each chair, though a standard metal and cushioned restaurant chair, is covered in a light green textured slipcover that matches the tablecloths. LED tealights in glass pebble filled, beaded candle wreath wrapped holders are artfully scattered across the tabletops. The walls are hung with generic sconces and “texture prints” that blend into the background, so the focus can be on the guests.

I pre-ordered all my guests the sandwich plate with a mix of chicken salad sandwiches on croissants and turkey and cheese sandwiches on croissants. Coco’s also has a tuna salad sandwich available, as well as other plates. The sandwich plate as listed comes with fruit salad (mostly cut melon and grapes) and pasta salad; being the middle of January, I thought my guests would appreciate Coco’s amazing Fire Roasted Vegetable Soup over pasta salad and the party coordinator accommodated that request without fuss. I even had one guest ask for a second cup of the soup! The plate also comes with a cold beverage of choice and each guest ordered his or her own preference. I also pre-ordered a dessert sampler platter – it came with 3 miniature desserts per guest, and included a lemon cream tart with a fresh raspberry on top, a honey drizzled cream puff, and a brownie.

I added on 4 pots of tea – an apricot flavored black tea (which I found out brand and purchased immediately after the party it was so good, as well as obtaining a to-go cup and finishing off the pot before leaving the party), a green tea called Angel’s Kiss that was very delicate, an Earl Grey, and a Peppermint herbal tisane.

I did check them out beforehand (while there are not a lot of tea rooms still in business around me, there were enough I felt I needed to “sample the wares” before hosting a party there. Of those I found, Coco’s has been in business the longest, had the best website, had a room separate from their dining area for groups/parties, and was the first on my list.) Immediately after having lunch there to check the food and service quality, I booked them – it was that good!

While it is a bit of drive for me, I would not hesitate to go back!
