I have gone here for high tea. It is pricey but stepping inside this place made me extremely happy. The decor is nostalgic and the bone china tea cups equally so–and yes! they serve you tea in china and not mugs! The dainties are also cute and delicious. I had the french earl grey which has a rose infusion.
I LOVE their creamy earl grey so much!! I first came across it a few years ago and my heart was instantly set on this beautiful tea. I have been an avid fan of the creamy earl grey ever since. I had to live overseas to attend school for a few years and so every Christmas holiday when i’d be back in Van, I’d get a couple of refill bags to take back with me oversea.
Been here twice and they’ll cater to vegetarians if you’re doing the high tea.
The service is alright.
The second time I went, it wasn’t so very good. I remembered we were seated and then removed and we had to wait again for another seat even with our reservations. We weren’t really given a reason why but assuming it was because they were so busy and people kept showing up so they lost count of who was there first.
For their tea, definitely give their creamy earl grey a try! Be sure to call ahead to reserve a table. They do get quite busy.
